Dealing with basement flooding can turn into every homeowners fear! Recently at Preferred Plumbing Solutions we tackled flooding problems, for a customer by concentrating on preventing basement floods with some sump pump adjustments! Our skilled technicians pinpointed the issue. Applied fixes that not just resolved the current problem but also ensured the home was shielded from potential water damage, in the future.
After examining the situation we discovered that the pipe connected to the customers sump pump was installed incorrectly which was leading to water being directed towards the houses foundation. This error was not resulting in erosion, on the property. Also affecting the neighbors yard causing an escalating issue of flooding concerns, in the neighborhood.
To address this issue and improve our clients’ water management system efficiently. These are the actions we have taken;
Adjusting the connection involved altering the discharge line to establish an incline so that water is directed away, from the foundation of towards it—a critical measure, in averting basement flooding and safeguarding the structural integrity of the house.
Changing the path of the Drainage Pipe ; of letting water collect in the ditch area, between our yards we redirected the drainage pipe to carry water away from both houses. This action not deals with the existing flooding problems. Also avoids any potential issues, in the future.
After giving the sump pump some TLC by cleaning it and upgrading it with an updated model, for reliability and performance; we are all set for keeping the drainage system working smoothly and providing our customer with reliable protection, from potential basement floods.
We decided to set up the Flow-Tech System as a step to ensure that our plumbing system stays in good working order and minimizes the chances of any blockages that might cause water-related problems.
Preferred Plumbing Solutions has made strides in tackling the discharge problems of the sump pump and improving the plumbing system overall to avoid basement flooding, for this client effectively They take pride in assisting homeowners in protecting their homes and ensuring living conditions for them.
