When we receive a call about a faucet problem, whether it's in the bathroom, kitchen, or anywhere else, we don't just glance at the surface. We take the time to understand the plumbing underneath. If those safety stop valves aren't in pristine condition, we recommend replacing them. Why? Today, we wrapped up a job for a client who was experiencing significant reductions in hot water flow. Check out another beautiful job by Preferred Plumbing Solutions! For this job, we were just three doors down from a previous customer who needed a similar job done. What are we up to this time? Well, we're tackling a sump pump issue inside their home. The sump pump was rattling and making all sorts of weird noises, and after a thorough inspection, we discovered that the check valve inside the house was not installed in the right spot. It was experiencing too much water falling back on it, causing a racket. Not only that, but the pipe wasn't properly secured either. So, what did we do? We relocated and replaced the check valve and installed multiple hangers to secure the pipe. But that's not all! Outside, we gathered the discharge line and the downspout from the rainwater leader to redirect water away from the home. This reduced the chance of issues, as water was previously percolating down through the soil and collecting in the pit, causing the pump to cycle unnecessarily during heavy rain.
