We recently visited a customer who had a renovation done in 2019, specifically a three-piece bathroom upstairs. Shortly after the renovation, they noticed a brown water stain on the ceiling. They called the contractor back, who dismissed it as spillage or seepage, painted over the stain, and assured them it was nothing to worry about. Fast forward to now, and that stain is back, along with a mushy, wet ceiling.
Turns out, the issue was never properly addressed, and now the homeowner is facing costly repairs and delays in selling their home. It’s unfortunate that there are contractors out there lacking in integrity and professionalism.
A true professional takes the time to understand the problem, asks the right questions, and doesn’t cut corners to get the job done. So, if you’re hiring a contractor, make sure to do your due diligence.
